Psalms 78:41 NKJV Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.

Proverbs 29:18 MSG If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves…

What Limits God?
  • A wrong view of life.

If your perception of life is limited to how you see your life being lived out as it is now, then that is the way that is always going to be. It becomes your reality.

Get your eyes on something bigger!

Proverbs 4:25-27 NLT  Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.  (26)  Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.  (27)  Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

  • A wrong view of self.

All of us filter our lives through the way we view life and if we want change then we have to see ourselves the way that God sees us.

Ephesians 2:10 NLT  For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

Don’t follow the script that life may have written for you. God has the final say!!!!

  • A wrong view of God.

Are you praying boring prayers?

We need to understand Who our God is.

Jeremiah 32:17 NIV “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

What Does a God Vision Look Like?

Proverbs 29:18 MSG If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

  1. A God vision will seem risky.

It is a faith step. God requires faith.

Hebrews 11:6 NIV And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

  1. A God vision will require God’s involvement.

Dream a dream that God has to show up for it to happen.

Are we living life big enough?

All the glory will go to God.

Live life according to God’s bigness and not your bigness.

Ephesians 3:20 AMP Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—

  1. A God vision will change lives.

It will always be bigger than just you and yours.

Your life is really about impacting other people’s lives; your life intersecting with other people’s lives.

Ephesians 1:11-12 MSG  It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living,  (12)  part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
