Genesis 1:1-3 NKJV In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (2) The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (3) Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
Verse 1 – Creation
Verse 2 – Chaos
Verse 3 – Restoration
There was 6 days of restoration to bring it back to God’s original plan of the earth being a beautiful place.
Isaiah 45:18 NKJV For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Romans 8:18-23 NKJV For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (19) For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. (20) For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; (21) because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (22) For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. (23) Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
Science vs. the Word of God
Science is constantly changing but the Word of God will never change because it is always the same.
Science can only observe and therefore scientists can only observe and make statements based on what they observe. God’s Word is always based on the surety of God Himself.
We can look at both science and the Word of God and see that the world is very old.
What About the Bible:
- The Bible is not designed to be a science book but a look at God’s principles, doctrines, salvation, and daily Christian victory.
- The Bible, where mentioned, is always accurate on scientific data. God is the Creator of all science and therefore He confirms science and science does not confirm Him.
- The Bible contradicts scientific speculation such as evolution but the Bible is not required to explain it. The world always wants an explanation but it is simply because God said it was so and that is good enough. He does not always explain everything to us but we just have to believe and receive it.
All things in Creation depend on the omnipotence and the unchangeableness of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 6:17-18 AMPC Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. (18) This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].
- Because of the fact that God will never change and He will never lie, the universe does not implode.
Malachi 3:6 KJV (6) For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
- All things in the natural are held together because of Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:15-18 NKJV (15) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (16) For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. (17) And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. (18) And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Things in the natural realm do not fall apart on a molecular level because by Jesus Christ all things consist.
Colossians 1:17 AMPC And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). [Pro 8:22-31]
Scientific “Laws” are a misnomer.
- There is no such thing as scientific law. Science does not have laws because what they term as laws, they did not create them and therefore cannot enforce them.
- The universe runs on Divine Laws. When God wants to change it, He can and does not need anyone’s permission to do it.
- Science confuses laws with observations. Through their many observations, we have many blessings that enhance our lives today.
- All laws as we know them now will change when there is a new heaven and a new earth.
Revelation 21:1-2 NKJV Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. (2) Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:23-24 NKJV (23) The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. (24) And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
This is referring to the heaven surrounding the earth. There is the atmosphere around the earth call heaven, there is the universe containing the sun, moon and stars called the heavens, and then there is the place where God lives, called heaven.
2 Corinthians 12:2 NKJV (2) I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago–whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows–such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
The universe outside of our atmosphere was not polluted by sin.
- Many of the laws that are in operation in the earth will change.
2 Peter 3:10-13 NKJV But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. (11) Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, (12) looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? (13) Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
- Where was science when God split the Red Sea?
- Where was science when God stopped the rotation on the earth for a few hours while Joshua was fighting a battle so that he could win?
- Scientists now firmly believe that the universe could not have been formed from a bunch of massive collisions because they have determined that everything is moving outward. This only could be happening if everything started from one central point, thus the big bang theory. Their question then becomes how did such an explosion take place? It had to be GOD.
- Scientists have tried to blame us for all the ills of nature. Yes, we need to be responsible with the planet but our Styrofoam cups and plastic bags and driving our cars are not causing the destruction of the planet. There is a curse released in the earth by sin and Satan that is causing the destruction of the planet.
- If you drink your water out of a paper cup instead of a Styrofoam cup, it is not going to save the planet, Jesus is going to save the planet, and He is the only One who can.
- National Geographic once reported that the carbon emissions from one volcano eruption put more pollution into the atmosphere than all of the car emissions combined.
- Nature is a fighter and fights to survive. Think about the fact that weeds will fight to grow up through your concrete driveway.
