Healing Belongs To Us!

We want to address some questions that may be rolling around in your mind about COVID-19.

Is this judgment being poured out on America? On the earth? No.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 NLT  And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.

Is the end of the world near? Not yet.

Matthew 24:36-39 NKJV  “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.  (37) But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (38) For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,  (39) and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Do not be mistaken. Jesus is coming soon.

Things we need to know about sickness and disease:

  1. Sickness does not come from God.

God has no sickness to put on people.

Matthew 6:10 NKJV  Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Luke 13:16 KJV  And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

  1. Sickness came into the earth as a result of man’s sin.

There is a curse that was brought into the earth because of man’s disobedience to God. It was never God’s plan for there to be any sickness in the earth.

Romans 8:2 NKJV  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

  1. It is God’s will for you to be healed.

Exodus 15:26 NKJV …For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Psalms 103:2-3 NKJV Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: (3) Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

Matthew 4:23 NKJV And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Mark 1:40-42 NKJV Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” (41) Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” (42) As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

If sickness is God’s will for mankind, then Jesus violated God’s will multiple times in His ministry.

John 8:29 NKJV  And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

Acts 10:38 NKJV how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

  1. Healing was part of the Atonement of Christ.

Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV (4) Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. (5) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Griefs (choli) sicknesses and diseases – translated to read “griefs” because that what sickness produces. Go to the Children’s Wing of the Hospital and you will see this clearly.

Sorrows (makob) physical pains

1 Peter 2:24 NKJV who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.

  1. Healing did not pass away with the end of the Book of Acts.

Hebrews 13:8 NKJV Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6a NKJV “For I am the LORD, I do not change…”

How do I receive my healing?

  • Faith begins where the will of God is known.

Romans 10:17 NKJV So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You can base your belief in what someone else has said God’s Word says but there is no power there to produce the results you desire and God desires for you.

It is only when you personally believe what God’s Word says about healing and you act in faith on what you believe that the power contained in the Word of God is released to work for you.

Does it mean I am a spiritual failure if I don’t receive my healing and go to Heaven?

Absolutely not. We still do not lose!

  • You can be healed while receiving communion.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NKJV (23) For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; (24) and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” (25) In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” (26) For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

  • You can ask for someone to lay hands on you in prayer.

Mark 16:17-18 NKJV And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (18) they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

James 5:14-15 NKJV Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. (15) And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

  • You can receive your healing simply by believing God’s Word.

Psalms 107:20 NKJV He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

John 4:46-53 NKJV  So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.  (47) When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.  (48) Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” (49) The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”  (50) Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. (51) And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”  (52) Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” (53) So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
