Faith in Prayer!

faith in prayer!

Mark 11:22-26 (NKJV) 22  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24  Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. 25  “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26  But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

  1. Fundamental #1: You believe the Word in your heart

You believe with your heart – not your head!

  1. Fundamental #2 – Say God’s Word with your mouth.

You always say what you believe!

This is a spiritual law. You cannot change the law of words that we live under, but you can change the words that determine how you live.

Faith must be released by the words of your mouth.

Faith’s confessions create realities OR confession precedes possession.

  1. Fundamental #3 – Act on your faith in the Word. (Simply put, act like the Bible is true.)

Seven Steps to Prayer That Brings Results
  1. Decide what you want from God and get the scripture that definitely promises you these things.

You must base your prayer on the Word of God.

You cannot pray beyond your faith and you cannot have faith beyond the Word that you know and have in your heart.

John 15:7 NKJV (7)  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

John 1:1-3 NKJV (1)  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2)  He was in the beginning with God. (3)  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

God has attached Himself to His Word and you will never get Him to do anything apart from His Word.

You must have the Word in your heart because there will be a fight that must be waged for what you are praying for.

Notice Jesus used the same thing that we have in our arsenal to defeat the enemy. He did not use something that we don’t have access to.

Luke 4:4 NKJV (4) But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD.’ “

1 Timothy 6:12 NKJV (12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

It may take time for you to receive the answer to your prayer.

Be prepared to stand and fight for what you have prayed and believed for with the Word of God.
